The jack in a 2006 Chevy Silverado can be found behind the passenger side seat in the back of the truck. You will need to fold down the seat back and then You can find the compartment that houses the bottle style jack. The jack in a Silverado is there to help You if You get a flat tire while driving. It can lift up Your truck from the frame rails and allow You to get the old wheel and tire off and install Your spare that can be found under the bed of the truck. If Your jack is not located there then it is possible that it was taken out at some point in time and not replaced because they should all have one in that area.
