The Mass Airflow sensor (MAF) in a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 can be found just in front of the air filter housing in between the alternator and air compressor. Before removing the MAF sensor make sure to connect the negative battery terminal and then You can use a flat head screw driver to remove the red safety tab to pull the MAF sensor out. Some of the common symptoms of this issue are rough idling, reduce engine power, and decreased fuel economy. The most likely places to inspect for the problem are the MAF sensor, the connections and wiring to see if there is a short or corrosion, and check the vacuum hoses for any leaks or disconnections.
