You'll find the wastegate solenoid on the 2014 Ford Fusion turbocharged engine located on the driver side valve cover, near the vacuum pump, usually nearer to the ground than the top of the engine. Some symptoms of this failing would be going up to RPM in a gear and it not seeming to rev back down, as well as lack of acceleration and a whining engine. Replacing the solenoid itself is going to cost around $200, with labor costs adding another $70 or so, if You take it into a shop.
