For the power steering in the 2014 GMC Acadia You're going to use the same automatic transmission fluid that Your truck uses which is DEXRON ViATF. Changing Your power steering fluid isn't something You'll have to worry about too often but if You notice unusual sounds while steering or Your steering isn't as smooth as usual then You may be running low from either normal use or possibly a leak in the system. If You want to check Your levels You'll want the engine to be cool first, then remove the engine cover to get access to the fluid reservoir. Remove the cap and clean it and then put it back in and remove it again. If it's below the MINImum marker then You should add some more until it's back at the max mark. -
