The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder power steering fluid type is ATF+4 fluid. This is a type of hydraulic fluid that will work fine in Your hydraulic power steering system. Your vehicle uses a pump and lines to help assist You when You are steering Your SUV. This is done by pumping fluid through the lines to the steering box when it detects input. This can make the steering feel much lighter in Your car. If You suddenly notice that it is difficult to steer and that it feels much heavier to steer then that is usually a sign that You have low power steering fluid. You can check the levels by removing the cap on the reservoir and there is a small dipstick attached to the underside of the cap.
