The front axle nut size on a 2014 Ram 2500 series is 1 and 5 /16 of an inch. This is a very large nut and usually You will need a specialty socket to be able to remove it from the vehicle. I recommend using an impact driver to remove this nut because it is going to be held in place very tightly. These are designed to help hold Your axle and wheel hub assembly together and they will not want to come off. When You reinstall the axle nut You will need to use a breaker bar to put extra torque on it to make sure that it is held in place tightly. Some people also prefer to add a thread locker to the nut so that it does not come off at all.
