The knock sensor on a 2015 Chevy Silverado can be found on the side of the engine block, it is above and to the left of the oil filter housing. This sensor is designed to check and essentially listen for knocking within Your engine to let You know if it is happening. The most common cause of engine knock in a truck is low quality fuel. When the fuel does not have a complete combustion in the cylinder it can lead to knocking. The best way to avoid that is to try to use a higher octane fuel, and also purchase a fuel that is labeled as top tier because it has additives in it that can help clean out carbon and sludge buildup in Your engine.
