The location of the starter on the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is underneath the truck, on the passenger side and behind the down pipe. The starter uses the engine's battery to turn the flywheel and kick the engine to life, without it the truck would not be able to start. To access the starter You will need such tools as hydraulic floor jack and jack stands, 8mm, 3/8" sockets and ratchet, 8 and 13mm wrenches, torque wrench, replacement starter, rubber mallet and WD-40. Before You access the starter You will need to unplug the battery or You might get hurt. Then after disconnecting the battery You will need to jack up the truck on level ground with the emergency brake on in-order to get to the battery.

The 2015 Chevy silverado starter sits between the engine and the transmission, usually on the passenger's side of the vehicle.
If one tries to start an already running 2015 Chevrolet Silverado can that burn out the starter?
