I'm not going to make assumptions about what kind of 2017 Volkswagen Touareg You have, so, if You've got a right hand drive, it's going to be situated beneath the front passenger seat, and if You've got a left hand drive, it'll be under the driver's seat. There'll be two bolts at the front of the seat on the floor; once You remove those, You can hinge the seat backwards, and You'll have complete access to the battery. If You're just trying to jump Your VW, though, note that You've got two terminals in the engine compartment explicitly for this purpose; You shouldn't try to jump this vehicle directly to the battery itself; that defeats the whole purpose of moving it away from the engine in the first place!

Touaregs don't have their battery in the engine compartment - it's under the left hand front seat as Oliver posted - on certain models there's a second battery under the spare wheel.

A battery is located under the hood of the 2017 vw touareg, look for the large black box that has a red and black connector on the top.
