The 2019 Honda Pilot makes use of VTM4 gear oil. You should change Your oil every 60,000 miles. To drain the old oil You will need to open the rear differential, which is along the back axle. Remove the bolts on the cover plate and drain the oil into a container. Once it stops dripping out You will then need to fill it back full. Make sure You do not go over the fill line. You can be a little under, but if You go over You run the risk of burning oil and damaging the car. You will need two bottles to fully change out the oil, and this will run You about 50 dollars in total, though it could vary some.
