If You notice a check engine light on Your BMW then You should try to get off the road as soon as possible to check the code. You will need to use an OBD II scan tool to read the codes that are stored in Your ECU. If You find the code 2DEB then that is a sign that there is a problem with the DEM power management system. Usually this is problem with the alternator or battery being at a lower voltage than expected. Commonly that is caused by a loose cable on either one of them. Ensure that all of Your cables are tight and the code should go away. If it stays then there may be a problem with Your alternator.
