The BMW error code 3F35 indicates an issue with the charge pipe that runs between the intercooler and the BMW's throttle valve. It is also called the boost air hose and the 3F35 code is often accompanied by a loss of power and rough idle speeds that require the replacement of the charge pressure sensor. Certain BMW's are also subject to a TSB for the Turbocharger Air Hose that can develop oil leaks over time. The notice applies to E70, E90 models with M57Y diesel engines. The plastic seal installed in the charge air pipe may fail due to damage from road debris. Repair involves replacing the seal. Affected vehicles will experience both air and oil leaks in the turbocharger.
