You're driving Your BMW down the road, when You notice a code has appeared on Your dashboard. It readS4010, but You do not know what it could mean. This code, like most others that appear seemingly randomly on Your instrument cluster over the years, indicates that a change or problem has been detected in one of the system parts. In the case of code 4010, it means that there is a DPF fault. More than likely, this is because the exhaust back pressure sensor has failed. If the sensor needs to be replaced, You will need to pay around $20 to $90 for a new part.
