What's the 51ad BMW fault code?

When You notice a check engine light on Your BMW You will want to use a scan tool to diagnose the problems. An OBD II scan tool is the best way to do this. If You read the codes and find a code 51AD that means that there has been a problem with the communication to to the transmission. This can mean several different things. Either there is a problem with the wiring to the transmission, there is a problem with a sensor on the transmission, or there is an actual problem with the gears in it. The first thing that I would inspect is the wiring and the harness where it plugs into the sensors located on the outside of the transmission housing to make sure they are not loose or damaged.
