The code 56C5 refers to a problem with the solenoid valve. There are two solenoid valves, named A and B. If the error code ends with C5, it means there is a problem with solenoid A. If it ends with C6, it means that solenoid B is malfunctioning in some way. These should be addressed as soon as possible. The solenoid valves are responsible for managing the amount of oil going into the engine. If this isnt addressed swiftly, the cars actuator system and engine may suffer and stop working. The error code is generated by the ECM, which uses the solenoid valve to manage flow of oil into critical parts of the engine. As a result, it can be very dangerous to drive a car with a faulty solenoid valve for extended periods of time.
