When You have a check engine light that turns on in Your Dodge Ram I recommend that You stop driving as soon as possible. Driving with a check engine light can cause more damage to Your engine or other vehicle components if there is a part that is failing. Once You have safely stopped it is a good idea to use an OBD II scan tool on Your car to check the engine for any codes. If You have a code C447 that means that there is a problem with he exhaust pressure control valve. This happens when the valve either gets stuck open or closed and cannot be actuated again. Usually You will need to replace the valve to get it working properly again.
