If You have a check engine light on in Your BMW You will want to use an OBD II scan tool to see what codes were written to the ECU. When You read the code if You find that it is a CF2B that means that there is a problem with the transmission. Usually this will happen when the ECU detects gears slipping in the transmission, or rough shifts between gears. This can also be caused by a problem with the oiler in the transmission which can lead to excessive wear and tear. The first thing to check when You get that code is the condition of Your transmission fluid so that You can confirm that it is free from debris.
