The Chevy Express is equipped with a power steering pump that circulates lubricants in and around its gears so the wheels can move with ease. Fluid levels should be maintained to prevent damage to the pump and steering hydraulics. The Express' pump is lubricated by any PS synthetic lubricant made for American vehicles, particularly Prestone multi-vehicle PS fluid. The PS reservoir is generally found under hood on the passenger side of the engine bay next to the coolant reservoir. The plastic container is usually marked by symbols identifying it. If the Express' PS assembly needs attention or lubricant levels are low You will notice whining or high pitched noises when turning the wheel.
