The base model of the Chevy Suburban 3500 can tow up to 3,400 pounds with the right equipment. If You purchase the vehicle with a higher trim level it can carry a lot more. For example, at max, with the EcoTec3 5.3L V8 engine and the Max Trailering Package, it can tow up to 8,400 pounds. This is lowered slightly if You tow in four-wheel drive, but only by a bit. If You plan to tow any heavy or wide loads, make sure You check local laws as some places will require You to have a permit to do so. Failure to comply can result in a fine and points on Your license.
