The Dodge Ram's P1C54 error code is associated with faulty diesel exhaust fluid and NOX sensors. It can be caused by d***y, incorrect, degraded or diluted diesel exhaust fluid or leaks. The error can also be thrown when the fluid dosing system or the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is malfunctioning. The SCR is part of the emissions control of a diesel-powered vehicle. The Dodge's two NOX sensors operate in tandem witH2 modules that together monitor the truck's exhaust. The firSTSensor is located on the turbocharger's downpipe and the other is found at the outlet of the SCR Catalyst. If the system is failing the NOX modules will alert the engine's PCM and it will throw the P1C54 error code.

How does DEF get diluted if it goes directly into the tank . Is it time to delete the system totally and enjoy the longevity of the engine and what it was designed for ?
