The fuel filter in a Ford Edge can be found in the gas tank on the fuel sending unit. This has become a very common place to put a fuel filter because in line filters were a place that fuel would leak from on older vehicles. The filter in Your vehicle is designed to remove debris and contaminants from the gasoline before it enters Your fuel lines. This helps to keep Your lines and injectors free from debris that would clog it and prevent it from working. If You notice that Your fuel pressures are down and Your vehicle is running rough this can mean that there is a problem with the filter and You will need to replace it.

The fuel filter in your Ford Edge vehicle is either located inside the fuel pump and considered a non-serviceable component of your car's maintenance, or externally to the gas tank, where routine maintenance is required.
