The Ford motorcraft battery will last about 5 years and You can find the date code on the label of the battery. The date will have a letter either a P or S and the next two number will be the month with the third number indicating the year. So for example it would be S124 which will tell You that the battery is manufactured in December 2004. The batteries will last about five years and if You purchased the Motorcraft battery warranty it is for 100 months and they will give You a free replacement for free in the first 36 months. The Motorcraft battery is the OEM specs and size for all the Ford manufactured vehicles.

Now, look at the second character in the code. It'll be a number (0-9) that signifies the year the battery was installed. The number is the last digit of the year.
