The Jeep Wrangler JK lug nut size is 1/2 X20 and uses a 13/16" or 21mm hex. This means that to remove Your wheels You will need a 13/16" or 21mm socket. You can use an impact wrench to remove the lug nuts from Your car, but You should always use a tire iron, ratchet, or torque wrench to reinstall them. Using an impact driver can put too much torque on them while putting them back on and that can strip out the threads on Your lug nuts or Your wheel studs and this can lead to costly repairs. Excessive torque can also damage the rims themselves if t hey are pinched too hard.
