The Kia psf 4 power steering fluid type is PSF-4. To change the power steering fluid You will need to first locate the container, which will be under the hood near the window. It will be a clear plastic container. Using a pump You will want to extract all of the fluid from the container. Once the fluid gets low You will want to turn the steering wheel, all the way to one side, then all the way to the other. This will cause the fluid in the wheel to drain into the container, remove this as well. Once the container is dry You can go ahead and fill it to the full line, but not over. It will take a little bit for the wheel to loosen up, so try driving for about 20 minutes to make sure it worked.

Your Kia vehicle is designed to use Dexron II ATF automatic transmission fluid in its power steering assembly.

The above answer is total c**p!!! The clear plastic container near the window is the BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR. The power steering pump is usually located near the front and is also the fluid reservoir. Check the cap for fluid type. Use altrnate fluids ONLY in emergencies! My 2005 KIA AMANTI uses PSF-4 fluid. To replace/change the fluid and engine off. 1.) Pump/s**k out all fluid from pump. Refill pump to proper level. Start your car and turn steering several times all the way to the left and right slowly. Turn engine off. Repeat step 1.) two to three times in order to flushout the old fluid. Make sure pump is always full before you turn the steering wheel so you do not introduce air into the system.
