The Kia Sorento uses PSF-3 power steering fluid in the vehicle. This is a type of hydraulic fluid that will move from Your power steering reservoir through the pump out to the steering rack to help You when You are turning. I recommend that You check Your power steering fluid every time that You change the oil in Your car. You will want to make sure that it is full, and if it is low You should check the lines for any leaks. The most likely places it will leak is from the lines where they connect to the components. It is also possible to have an actual leak on the steering box from a failed seal on it.
