The Mercedes battery is located under the front passenger seat. If Your battery dies You can jump it as there will be battery terminals in the engine compartment on the driver's side. To remove the battery You will have to first remove the driver's seat back and remove the plastic screw covers as well as the rail stop bolts. The battery can be difficult to remove and You will have to push the seat all the way back to gain access. The cost for a replacement battery is usually priced around $150 - $250 depending on the brand and quality. The specified battery type is listed as group size B13 and 720 cold cranking amps.

For older model W210 the battery is located under the rear seat squab on RH side. A pull clip on either side of the car will release the squab for removal from the car.
