When You have a code in Your MINI Cooper the first thing that You should do is stop driving as soon as possible. Driving with fault codes can lead to damage to Your vehicle and that should be avoided. Once You have safely stopped You can use an OBD II scan tool on Your MINI to determine what the problem is. If You have a code CC ID 031 then that means that there is an EVAP system leak that was detected. This is most commonly caused by a bad gas cap on Your car. I recommend first trying to open and close the gas cap and see if it goes away. If that does not solve it then You may need to purchase a new one to get it working properly again.
