The Mitsubishi Outlander starter is under the exhaust manifold. The starter, as the name implies, is a central part of the system that starts the car. If You are trying to start the car and it won't turn on, but instead gives a rapid clicking sound then there is something bad with the starter. They are not the cheapest things to replace, being about 200 for the labor and 400 for the part, but obviously, You cant use the car without one. Before replacing the starter though You should check some of the other parts, such as the intake and spark plugs, as these can lead to similar issues. If the starter is bad it is likely to trip and OBD code as well, so be on the lookout for that.
