To change it You will need to drain it from the drain plug that is on the bottom of the transmission. I recommend that You check Your transmission fluid every time that You change Your oil. You will want to make sure that it is free from signs of debris. Usually the debris in the gear oil will make it sparkly or reflective because it has pieces of metal that are floating in it.
