When You get a check engine light in Your Mercedes Sprinter the first thing You should do is try to stop driving as soon as possible to prevent extra damage to Your vehicle. As soon as You are stopped You can use an OBD II scan tool to read the codes that are stored in the ECU that turned on the light. If You have a code P20E8 that means that there is a problem detected with the reductant pressure sensor. This sensor measures the pressure of the DEF fluid as it goes into the exhaust and if it is too low it means that the fluid is not cleaning the exhaust properly. It could indicate a problem with the DEF pump that would need to be repaired.
