The Ram 2500 uses a 2 1/2" hitch receiver as stated by the factory specs. This size is the most common clasS5 receiver size and it is usually equipped on most of the 3/4-ton pickups that have been produced after 2008 such as the Ford F-250 and the Ram 2500 as well as most full-ton pickups after 2008 such as the F-350 and Ram 3500. This receiver is used to attach accessories and tow hooks for the truck when towing or hauling large cargo with a trailer. The Ram 2500 comes standard with the hitch and the 2" sleeve adapter which will be located under the rear seat in the crew cab trim levels.
