To replace spark plugs on a Toyota Yaris You will need A5/8" plug socket as well as a 10 mm with a 1/4" drive ratchet, A6" extension bar, a 3/8" drive ratchet and a tube of automotive grease. When spark plug access is reached use A5/8" spark plug socket equipped with a magnet at the end to pull the faulty plugs. Use a ratchet to turn the socket around the previously installed plugs to lift out. Compare the new plug's threads to the threads of the one that has been removed. If the threads are not the same length, the end of the part will collide with the piston and cause internal engine damage. Slide the new part into place with the 5/8" and tighten with the wrench.
