As the owner of a Volvo truck, You will probably see an occasional light appear on Your dash. One of these could be the trouble code p24d100. The presence of this code usually indicates a problem has been detected with the particulate matter sensor. This sensor can be found within the exhauSTSystem. It is part of the outlet box, mounted to the outside. If something is wrong with this sensor, You will see multiple symptoms. You may notice a sharp decrease in engine performance. There will be a decline in fuel efficiency. You truck may occasionally overheat from the engine, as well as the transmission. You may also see smoke coming from the exhauSTSystem.

If your Volvo truck is returning a P24D100 code there is a problem with the particulate matter sensor that is located near the outlet nox inside the exhaust.

Had the same code recently. Code SA 16 DTC P24D100 is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for a fault in the NOx sensor circuit on a Volvo truck. This code may be stored when the engine computer (ECM) detects an issue with the NOx (nitrogen oxide) sensor or its circuit. Https://dtcfixer.com
