On a Volkswagen Tiguan and many other new vehicles, the trouble code P2015 refers to the intake manifold runner position sensor in bank 1 of the intake manifold. This code is shown when the ECU has read an out of range signal from that sensor. This can happen when the runner control goes bad, a break in the wiring from that sensor gets damaged or if the manifold runner gets physically stuck. The code is a real time alert meaning that the light will go out on its own when the computer no longer senses the problem. The main symptoms when this code is shown are poor or rough idling and lack of power when accelerating.

On my 2015 VW Tiguan the lever arm kept popping off that’s why the P2015 code was reading with engine light after I hada valve that was broken replaced $2500 later the engine light kept turning on. I took it back ser eral times and the shop mechanic said I needed a new manifold intake. I got a close friend mechanic to look at it and he popped it back into place. It’s been several days and that engine light has NOT turned back on. Could it be the place where I initially took my car to replace the cracked valve only trying to scam me for a total replacement of the intake manifold? Sad if that’s the case . And that place broke my engine cover , didn’t replace the valance underneath my motor nor the cover that protects my motor. Several other plastic components were also broken in my engine. 🤬🤬🤬

Code P2015 in a VT Tiguan means there is a problem with the intake manifold sensor bank 1.
