The BCM or Body Control Module in Your 2004 Ford Explorer is the part of the vehicle that controls all the non engine related functions and features. The airbags, lights, displays and the security system are controlled by the BCM. The location of it in the 2004 Explorer is behind the dashboard to the left of the radio. You will need to remove the radio to access it. It can sometimes help to reset the vehicle's systems including the BCM by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes or so. This does not always fixAny problems but it is a quick and cheap trick that can sometimes help. If You are still having issues after this You will need to have it looked at by someone with a scan tool so they can read any trouble codes.

The 2004 ford explorer body control module is located inside the driver side door. You will need to take the panels off to see it.
