In a 2007 Chevy Aveo, the coolant temperature sensor will be found on directly behind the coolant pipe and under the intake. There will be a pair of wires that clip to the sensor. The housing for the thermostat is placed on the coolant hose at the top of the engine near the right cylinder head. The possible indicators of the temperature sensor are that the engine has a large intake of gasoline, black smoke, or soot from the engine when accelerating, and overheating may also happen. If You have a damaged temp sensor, there can be serious damage that can result, so it is not recommended to drive the vehicle at certain times and to see a repair shop to have it diagnosed and fixed.
