The inertia switch on a 2011 Ford F-150 is on the passenger side kick panel. In case You don't know the inertia switch, it is designed to shut off the fuel pump in the event of a collision, as to not create a fire hazard if a fuel line is damaged. Inertia from a crash was used to trigger the switch. One of the firSTSymptoms of a potential issue with the fuel pump shut off switch is an engine that suddenly stalls while driving. If the fuel pump shut off switch malfunctions while the engine is operating it may shut off the fuel pump and cause the engine to stall. The fuel pump may be reactivated by finding and pressing the reset button for the switch.

The switch is not located on pass side ( kick panel) and needs to be reset by turning truck on not started but on, 2 sec, off 2sec, back to on, off.start.....truck triped it for NO REASON going down the hiway with cruise control on the highway was as smooth as glass and I was going straight. No reason for it to have tripped itself and especially to not have information on it or even though it was there and then everybody on these forums talking about you got to find the button to reset it not true on the 11. 10 days is what it cost me plus a tow 15 minutes from the house $200! Things happen I get it but for it to just trip because it's old I'm sure there's a way to manufacture this or no matter what it doesn't unless the truck is actually in a wreck no matter the age or mileage it completely killed my truck in the middle of 5:00 traffic homebound so then I'm on the side of the highway with semis flying by me at the end of a long day it's been several little stupid instances like this with this truck I like Ford and I always have but this is beyond stupid
