The camshaft position sensor on a 2014 Ford Fusion is located on the right side of the engine block just below the valve cover. This will monitor where the camshaft is during its rotation in Your engine. The camshaft position sensor is very important for Your vehicle because it sends the signal to the ECU for when there should be fuel, air, or spark throughout the compression cycle. If Your sensor has gone bad You usually will get a check engine light on the dash. Other symptoms of a bad or failing camshaft position sensor include the vehicle running rough, delayed throttle response, and mIS Fires. It luckily is an easy and relatively affordable part to replace if it does fail.
