Your 2016 Ford Fusion blend door actuator is located on the left-hand side of the heater box. It is right behind the air filter in the middle of the engine. The blend door actuator is a small electric motor that features sensors connected to Your car's climate control system. As You adjust the temperature up and down, or the intensity of the airflow, the signals go through the actuator. The symptoms of a bad blend door actuator include a lack of heat or air conditioning, or failure of air to blow through some or all of the vents. The actuator motors may also make a noise if they've failed, but this isn't always the case.
