The 2018 Chevy Equinox diesel fuel filter is located on the passenger side of the vehicle ahead of the rear tire. It is threaded onto the lines that are on the bottom of the vehicle that run from the fuel tank all the way to the front of the vehicle. Diesel fuel filters are still easy to change because diesel is a much dirtier fuel than regular unleaded gasoline. It is more likely that there will be contamination and particles in diesel so that's why Chevrolet has opted to make the filters easy to change. The most common problem that You will notice is water in Your filter. If this happens You will need to remove the filter and then dump out the water.

Thank you for being precise on location of fuel filter. I was able to replace the filter easily & quickly. Other websites didn’t give exact location of filter. I spent more time wtchg their website rather then replacing my filter n 10 minutes.
