The Ford Fiestas coolant pipe houses the temperature sensor built into the vehicle. The coolant sensor can be found in between the air intake pipe and the right sided cylinder head. Simply track and follow the radiators found on the right side near the hose to find the housing unit for the sensors. If Youre having particularly poor fuel economy, or are seeing black smoke emerging from Your engine when driving, You should get Your coolant sensor checked. It plays a vital role in regulating the temperature of Your vehicle, and contributes greatly to the overall strength and longevity of Your car. Other symptoms of a failing coolant sensor include an overheating engine, or poor thermal performance in general.
