The ABS control module in a Ford Ranger is located next to the battery in the engine compartment on the driver's side of the vehicle. This module is a small computer that controls the braking system in Your truck. Your truck comes with ABS which will pulse the brakes when You are stopping to prevent them from locking up. If Your brakes are locking up when You are stopping then there may be a problem with this module. Usually when it has a problem You will get a check engine or ABS light on Your dash to let You know that there was a problem detected. When it does fail You will need to replace it with a new one.

The abs control module of a ford ranger should be close to the battery on the left side, the driver's side.
