Ford Rangers hold the jack inside a plastic compartment found just underneath the passenger seat. The jack can be found in a plastic box with a black lid. To reach it, unscrew the black cover and remove it. If it is an extended cabinet version of the Ranger, it is located behind the jump seat on the passenger side of the vehicle. The Ranger is a very solidly built vehicle and will require a sturdy, reliable jack. In fact, many users recommend replacing the stock jack with a sturdier hydraulic jack to help make management, service and maintenance much easier. These have a higher clearance as well, and can be found for very reasonable prices at some dealerships.

In ford rangers, the jack kit is typically located in a compartment just behind the front passenger seat.
