You can find the crank sensor on the Ford Transit 2.2 located beneath the exhaust gas cooler, and connected to the bellhousing just below the tin heatshield. You'll see it on the front of the cylinder head on the right-hand side, just above the inlet manifold. Before You go through the hassle of switching this out, see if there are any codes in the ECU (which there should be, if You have a check engine light), as it's somewhat involved to access this without removing other engine components. You can often find a used option for this part on eBay for as little as $20.
