If the Chevy Cruze oil filter housing is leaking then You have a couple of culprits. The most common issue is that the line feeding to it has a bad connection and that the oil is seeping out through the connection point. This may require a new line, or it may require that the filter itself be changed, depending on if the issue is with the line or the filter. You will also need to check the line itself. While rare lines can dry rot, or in the cold crack, and this can lead to oil leaks as well. Regardless of the cause, it has to be fixed sooner rather than later as low oil is dangerous for the motor.

A leaking oil filter housing in your Chevy Cruze could be caused by a damaged gasket or seal, improperly installed or cross-threaded filter, a cracked housing, d***y or damaged threads, or the use of the wrong filter size. Ensure proper installation and inspect for visible damage. If issues persist, consult a mechanic for a thorough examination and necessary repairs to prevent further leaks.
