If the battery light turns on and off in Your 2011 Ford F-150 that means that there is likely a problem with Your battery or alternator. Usually the battery light will come on and stay on when a component has failed, but may turn on and off when a component is just beginning to fail. Your battery should have a resting voltage over 12 volts, and when Your car is running the alternator should be charging it around 14.4 volts If Your voltage reads lower than those then it is a sign that there is a problem with the electrical system. I recommend having Your battery and alternator tested to see which component is having the problem.

The battery light on a 2011 ford f-150 turning on and off, could mean that there is a loose battery terminal connection. Be sure the terminal connections are tight and free of corrosion.
