If your Ford Focus has no power, it may be a sign that your alternator is beginning to wear out. When your alternator stops functioning, then your vehicle's electrical system will be getting its power solely from the battery. Once your battery runs out, everything will shut down.If it is indeed the alternator starting to wear out you will have to replace it. To replace an alternator with a remanufactured one will cost you around $400, while a remanufactured alternator on a typical, domestic car, will cost around $300 to $500, including parts and labor. The price of a new alternator can run from $500 to $1,000 and is the most costly option.

This is due to the battery either not working or being dead. It needs to be checked.
