The 2016 Chevy Cruze' radio may stop working, the touchscreen can go blank and the power can become intermittent. Blown fuses often cause malfunctions, especially if the vehicle has recently been jumped. GM's OnStar software is known to interfere with radio operation as well if updates are needed. A TSB issued by GM for the negative terminal connection on the battery can also cause the radio to power off and on. According to the recall, a faulty connection will short power to the vehicle's accessories. Repair involves replacing the cable. Disconnecting battery cables for 10-15 minutes and then reconnecting may reset the Cruze' radio features and allow them to reboot to factory settings to restore function.
