2007 Chevy Cruze owners complain of a loss of both USB port and AUX input power. Plugged in devices fail to charge or perform. In most instances the AUX/USB cable has become disconnected from the back of the vehicle's PDIM or the "Personal Device interface Module". The PDIM also allows for remote control of the radio and Audio through the Chevy's steering wheel controls. If the Cruze is equipped with rear deck speakers, the issue can be connected to faulty connections within the radio head unit. Under these circumstances, the head unit should be pulled to examine for faulty wiring or USB port connections. The port itself may also need replacement. The average cost to replace the port in a Chevy Cruze is between $20-$60 in parts and labor.

Usb ports are known for being fragile, so the plate inside the port may have been bent or damaged, or there may be a bad wire.
