The 2017 Ford Fusion's AC may stop working due to a variety of causes, but commonly in newer vehicles, the AC compressor fails and needs replacement. The compressor is reliant on solenoids to manage cooling in the cabin. It "compresses" refrigerant from the cooling system's evaporator using speed and air temperature data to direct its function. If the Fusion's AC stops blowing cool air it could be due to improperly compressed Freon or low coolant levels, a malfunctioning evaporator or damaged sensors/solenoids. Electric climate control modules can also stop working or need re-wiring. A technician will examine connections and wiring harnesses in the AC's electrical components. The cost to have the Fusion's compressor replaced averages $700-$900 in parts and labor.

If the air conditioning, defroster, or the heater, otherwise known as the climate control system, on the 2017 ford fusion is not working, then either the fan is not getting power, or the control motor is broken.
